Responsibilities: Summary The Production Team Member is responsible for working on a production floor assembling parts by hand, using tools or machines. Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.) • Maintain a high level of quality for the products produced • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances • Effectively use hand tools and/or air tools • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards • Pack and store materials and products • Visually inspect the quality of in-coming production line materials, eliminate defects • Meet daily production goals through teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives • Perform all assembly-related tasks and assignments in a safe and timely manner • Ensure equipment and workstations are cleaned daily • Support and communicate with Team Leaders on a daily basis • Maintain housekeeping & 3R5S environment • Follow Mobis guidelines (according to handbook) and other policies established by department • Read and/or enter data through computer • Promote a team atmosphere • Assist with creation and completion of improvement and/or cost reduction ideas • Complete check sheets, reports, forms, etc as assigned & with accuracy • Comply with all safety rules and guidance, as well as report all recognized hazards • All other duties as assigned Qualifications: Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.) Required Education & Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Basic reading and computer skills • Good verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail and ability to detect quality defects • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and follow detailed work instructions • Ability to be a team player in a team working environment • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift • Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed on short notice Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: • May need to obtain a forklift license once hired in the position. Working Conditions: • Production/assembly environment • Traversing around production floor • Standing for long periods of time • Repetitive motions • Lifting (between 25-50 lbs.) • Work may take place on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift Apply Job!
