Job title: In-person Test Prep Tutor Company: Applerouth Tutoring Job description : Applerouth is looking to hire in-home, one-on-one, test prep tutors to service the Seattle metro area (Seattle, Mercer Island, Bellevue, Redmond...) We offer non-taxed paid travel! Overview Applerouth is a group of passionate educators seeking Test Prep Tutors excited to work at a growing educational services company. New tutors go through paid training to provide them with extensive knowledge of both the SAT and ACT, as well as pedagogical strategies to help tutor different types of students. We also provide regular supplemental training to help tutors stay aware of changes to both tests and pedagogy. Applerouth tutors believe students are more than a score. That's why we keep our focus fixed on building better learners for life. We expect applicants to have the following: Empathy, Creativity, Strong communication skills, and a desire to help others; Reliable transportation; High-speed internet; Prior tutoring/teaching experience is a plus! Requirements SAT, ACT, or other standardized test scores At least one year of College Access to reliable transportation. Many sessions will take place in students' homes or a mutually amenable location. High speed internet. Prior tutoring/teaching experience is a plus!
