Fully Virtual Special Education Coordinator for New Hampshire Schools – Now Hiring! Position Overview: VocoVision is seeking a Virtual Special Education Coordinator to oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of special education programs for students in a fully virtual environment. This position involves collaborating with teachers, families, and staff members to create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and provide professional development to educators. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate IEP Development: Work closely with special education teachers, parents, and other team members to create, review, and update IEPs for students in virtual settings. • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all special education programs align with state and federal laws, including IDEA and Section 504, while maintaining accurate documentation. • Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate communication between school staff, parents, and external service providers to effectively meet students’ needs. • Monitoring and Reporting: Track progress towards IEP goals, adjust strategies as needed, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders. • Professional Development: Provide training and ongoing support to virtual educators and paraprofessionals on best practices in special education. • Support and Advocacy: Advocate for students with disabilities to ensure they have equal access to all learning opportunities and receive the necessary academic support. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree preferred). • Certification: Current New Hampshire Special Education certification required. • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of special education experience, with preference for virtual or online education experience. • Knowledge of Laws: Strong understanding of IDEA, 504 Plans, and other key special education laws. • Technical Skills: Comfortable with virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.) and other educational technologies. • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups. • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and ability to juggle multiple priorities. Preferred Skills: • Familiarity with IEP software and tracking systems. • Experience in a leadership or coordination role within a school or district. • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and strategies for supporting students with behavioral needs in virtual settings.
