Description We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Sr. JAMF Engineer to join our team! In this remote role, you will play a critical part in deploying, managing, and maintaining Apple devices within our organization using the JAMF Pro platform. Your responsibilities will include configuring devices, deploying applications, ensuring security compliance, troubleshooting issues, and... maintaining the smooth operation of all Apple hardware and software systems across the organization. Skills • Deep experience with JAMF Pro management and configuration. • Proven track record of implementing zero-touch deployment processes. • Proficient in scripting for automation (Shell, Python, etc.). • Strong skills in application management, including software licensing and compliance. • Experience in security compliance enforcement. • Mastery in administering patch management processes. • Excellent communication and service skills for user support. • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and VPN configurations. • JAMF 300 certification is required. Responsibilities • Utilize your expertise in administering and configuring JAMF Pro environments to effectively manage macOS and iOS devices. • Implement zero-touch deployment processes for new devices through Apple’s Automated MDM Enrollment (DEP) and JAMF Pro. • Create and manage scripts to automate device management tasks, software installations, and system updates. • Oversee the packaging, deployment, and updating of applications using JAMF Pro, including software licensing management and compliance. • Enforce security policies and configurations (e.g., FileVault, firewall, encryption) to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards. • Administer operating system and application patching processes to ensure devices remain up-to-date and secure. • Deliver outstanding technical support for macOS and iOS issues related to system performance, software installation, and network connectivity. • Regularly monitor device health, usage, and compliance, providing detailed reports and insights to management. • Troubleshoot network issues and manage VPN configurations effectively. • Use your strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively to achieve high-quality outcomes for customers and the team. Qualifications • Experience Must-Haves: • Deep experience with JAMF Pro management and configuration. • Proven track record of implementing zero-touch deployment processes. • Proficient in scripting for automation. • Strong skills in application management, including software licensing and compliance. • Experience in security compliance enforcement. • Mastery in administering patch management processes. • Excellent communication and service skills for user support. • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and VPN configurations. • JAMF 300 certification is required. • Experience Should-Haves: • Developed and maintained documentation for device management processes. • Conducted training sessions for IT staff and end-users on best practices for Apple devices. • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • Enterprise-level experience with JAMF Pro and Apple device management. • Familiarity with security standards and protocols (e.g., encryption, MDM security frameworks). • Experience Like-to-Haves: • Knowledge of additional device management platforms (e.g., Intune, SCCM). • Understanding of Active Directory integration with Apple devices. • Familiarity with Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager.
