Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.Essential Functions -Performs triage by assessing patient's health and continuously monitor; detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and take action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assess patient care needs. -Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. -Sets priorities in plan of care based on assessed needs and anticipates personnel, supplies, and equipment required to care for patients based on assessed needs. -Works collaboratively with providers to provide exceptional care. -Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures. -Provides patient and family education. -Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms. -Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas. -Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies. -Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures. QualificationsRequired Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required

Required Licensure and Certifications:

• Current RN license in the State of Kentucky
• BLS
• ACLS (within 90 days of hire)
• TNCC (within 12 months of hire)
