Remote Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Remote Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in reviewing Prior Authorizations for a Pharmacy Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. Your primary responsibilities include approving or denying authorizations and forwarding them to a Pharmacist for final review. You will handle all health plans and various types of medications.Responsibilities

• Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach.
• Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
• Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
• Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of residence.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in call centers, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings.
• Ability to handle prescription benefits.

Work EnvironmentThis is a professional remote work environment. You will work across multiple screens and systems, requiring a strong Wi-Fi connection and a dedicated office space with a closed door. Equipment such as a computer, monitor, and headset will be provided.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
