YouTube Editor (Documentary Focus)

We're seeking a skilled Editor to edit long-form YouTube videos (30+ minutes) with a strong focus on narrative storytelling. This includes crafting character arcs, using music and visuals effectively, and adapting to unexpected developments in content. Experience in documentary-style editing is a must.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

• Edit raw video footage into polished documentary-style videos for our YouTube channel, ensuring high-quality production standards.
• Collaborate with writers, producers, and other team members to develop engaging narratives and story arcs.
• Incorporate graphics, animations, and sound design to enhance the storytelling experience.
• Review and integrate feedback on edits to refine and finalize video content.
• Ensure that all videos are optimized for YouTube's platform, including proper dimensions, encoding, and metadata.
• Stay abreast of current video trends and best practices to continuously improve content quality and engagement.
• Assist in the development of content strategies aimed at growing our audience and increasing viewer retention.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and production schedules.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a video editor, specifically in documentary or storytelling formats.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of pacing, story structure, and how to effectively convey emotion through editing.
• Experience with audio editing and mixing, as well as basic motion graphics skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of quality in all video outputs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment.
• A passion for health, wellness, and scientific exploration, with an understanding of Blueprint's mission and values.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits
