Employer Industry: Robotics and Software Development Why consider this job opportunity: - Opportunity to work in cutting-edge robotics and software development - Full-time co-op position for 6 months with the potential for future opportunities - Access to state-of-the-art facilities and robotics testing labs - Collaborative environment with a focus on teamwork and innovation - Chance to work on exciting projects involving AI, machine learning, and simulation What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Collaborate with simulation engineers to build virtual robotic worlds - Create levels and art assets (2D and 3D) for real-time graphics applications - Research and develop technical tools to enhance project efficiency - Support the 3D art pipeline by assisting artists and engineers - Maintain technical documentation and workflows for art production What is Required (Qualifications): - Enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science, Visual Effects, Graphic Art, Animation, or a related field with at least one semester remaining after the co-op - Must be available for a full-time (40 hours/week) 6-month co-op from July to December 2024 - Proficiency in Substance Designer or Substance Painter - Experience with Maya, Houdini, or Blender - Good understanding of PBR and MDL (Material Definition Language) How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse Kit and other Omniverse applications - Knowledge of C++, C#, or Java - Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks - Experience with USD-based pipelines/workflows - Portfolio showcasing previous work in relevant fields #Robotics #SoftwareDevelopment #InternshipOpportunity #AI #3DArt We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
