Position Overview:

The Remote Researcher will be responsible for identifying intriguing gaming-related topics, conducting in-depth research, and providing comprehensive material to support the creation of 10–20 minute mini-documentary scripts. The ideal candidate is deeply connected to the gaming world, with a passion for or role in the industry that enhances their understanding and ability to source valuable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and propose captivating topics for gaming mini-documentaries, staying informed on current gaming trends, controversies, and audience interests.
• Conduct thorough research to provide detailed, accurate, and engaging information for video scripts.
• Collaborate with the scriptwriting team by delivering structured research summaries, key insights, and credible sources.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in the gaming industry and culture to provide fresh and relevant content ideas.
• Ensure research aligns with the company’s perspectives on gaming culture and industry dynamics.
• Demonstrate knowledge of gaming-related controversies, such as the “Little Baby Inc” drama, and align with the company’s stance (to be discussed during the interview process).

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or currently residing in the U.S.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and writing skills.
• Extensive knowledge of gaming culture, history, and industry trends.
• Active involvement in or experience within the gaming industry (e.g., gaming media, development, or other roles providing insight into gaming news and trends).
• Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize and present information from multiple credible sources.
• Passionate about gaming culture and storytelling, with a deep understanding of what captivates a gaming audience.
• Alignment with the company’s viewpoints on gaming-related topics and controversies, assessed through a simple interview question about the “Little Baby Inc” drama.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in content creation or research roles within the gaming industry.
• Connections or insider knowledge within the gaming community.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
