Salary: $150000.00 to $225000.00 yearlyDescriptionRobert Half Legal is working with a high-end boutique law firm seeking a REMOTE law & motion writer. The main partner - a former Allen Matkins attorney - focuses his practice on bad faith litigation and only works the highest exposure cases. A large insurance company is the firm's main client.This law & motion attorney should have 3+ years of experience drafting substantive motions in CA civil courts - motions for summary judgement, demurs, motions to strike - both in state and federal court. Please do not apply without this experience.The law & motion attorney will not handle depositions or substantive trial preparation; this role is best for an attorney who simply wants to focus on writing.The billables at this firm are 1900, and associates have no problem hitting the mark.Perks Of Company

Though this job is remote, attorneys local to Southern California (specifically Orange County) who can come into the office semi-regularly are preferred. Either way, a CA bar + experience in CA civil courts is required.Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on legal research & writing
• Proficiency in drafting demurs, motions for summary judgement, and other pleadings. The attorney should have done at least 5-10 substantive motions from start to finish.
• Experience in insurance law (and specifically, bad faith) preferred but not mandatory.
• CA bar license.
• Ability to work remotely, in Pacific time, with very occasional travel to Southern California.
• Proficiency in drafting demurs, motions for summary judgement, and other pleadings.
