Job description: Job DescriptionThe Senior Specialist, Business Analytics, is responsible for financial processes, expense modeling, and data analysis of key expense categories for the Global Clinical Supply (GCS) organization within our company's Preclinical Development. The incumbent will participate and lead cross functional teams to define or revise and implement expenses processes. He/she will identify and incorporate variables with significant modeling impact. He/she will utilize tools for the communication and reporting of GCS financial projections. This role will operate with minimal oversight, will serve as a key subject matter expert on expenses for GCS locations globally.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establish and maintain relationships with functional areas to understand and analyze the financial impact of business process changes supporting Drug Supply and Pack and Label stakeholders.
- Provide detailed analysis, support creative problem solving, and anticipate technical obstacles as they relate to financial aspects of clinical supplies.
- Extract and utilize data from SAP to define, develop, execute and maintain financial models to analyze and predict expenses.
- Support special project proposals and execution through analytical services.
- Develop metrics, track and communicate progress.
- Review expense requests for alignment with processes, authorizations and financial forecasts.
- Influence stakeholders for compliance with Standard Business Practices.
- Provide strategic expertise and thought leadership to business clients and program teams.
- Represent Business Analytics and GCS during processes and data audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or Scientific discipline
- Minimum of 5 years functional expertise with financial analysis or equivalent analytics
- Prior experience with Clinical Development or Manufacturing Supply Chain
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience with SAP ECC
- Prior experience interfacing with international stakeholders and international currencies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong project management skills
- Proven track record of robust analytical skills, effective problem solving, and attention to detail
- Results-orientation with the proven ability to execute on collaborative projects and develop subject matter expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship skills along with high personal integrity, credibility, and energy.
