Job description: Description :The Education Department is responsible for the summer season weekday in the Amphitheater, as well as other programs. During the summer assembly season, staff provide behind-the-scenes logistic support, including coordination of travel, creating the speaker’s on-grounds itinerary, drafting the speaker introduction and escorting the speaker on the day of the lecture.About Your CompensationCompensation for this position starts at $15.50/Hour and, with demonstrated experience and qualifications, candidates may earn up to $16.50/Hour.About Your Work Day
- Performing background research and preparing introductory remarks for each program inside Chautauqua’s renowned Chautauqua Lecture Series, along with other special lecture programs throughout the summer season
- Working closely with Chautauqua staff in providing itineraries for speakers
- Serving as representative/ambassador for Chautauqua and the Education department as needed by greeting and shepherding speakers throughout the Chautauqua grounds to and from programs and accommodations on the grounds.
- Providing support during each 10:45 a.m. morning lecture by assisting in the process of audience Q&A, helping field questions from audience members and Amphitheater ushers, sorting and delivering to moderator
- Assisting in administrative support systems such as ArtsVision (a calendaring system used for Institution scheduling) and maintaining various department spreadsheets
