Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing and supporting Automated Inspection Systems
• Leading Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Factory of the Future projects in the plant
• Implement SQL queries and program code to improve operational efficiencies
• Determining data that is needed to resolve complex problems for 3M’s customers
• Supporting the plant through a data drive approach to problem solving and leveraging the DMIAC methodology
• Creating a systems framework that will move the plant toward our SCADA future state

Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Eight (8) years' experience in in a private, public, government, or military environment in one or more of the following areas: Computer Security Systems, Ethernet Networking, SQL databases, C#, Java, C++ environments, Automated Inspection Systems

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Two or more years of experience with automated inspection systems
• Experience integrating SCADA in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with AVEVA Archestra, InSql, and Wonderware InTouch HMI Application
• Experience in Process Instrumentation & Controls Systems (PI&CS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programing
• Familiarity with industrial equipment control systems
