A dynamic opportunity located near Albany, NY awaits for a skilled Azure & Microsoft 365 Cloud Engineer ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping secure, scalable, and efficient cloud environments.Responsibilities of the Azure & Microsoft 365 Cloud Engineer will include:
- Architect and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, and identity solutions.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services-Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and more.
- Implement robust cloud security features, including Conditional Access, Defender for Cloud, and identity governance.
- Monitor system performance and ensure business continuity through effective disaster recovery planning.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure CLI to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align cloud architecture with organizational goals and compliance standards.
- Manage user identity, access permissions, and licensing through Azure AD and Microsoft 365 Admin portals.
- Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for cloud and M365-related incidents and service requests.
- Keep pace with emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of Azure services, especially identity, compute, and security components.
- Proficiency in M365 administration, particularly Exchange, Teams, Intune, and SharePoint.
- Skilled in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
- Solid grasp of cloud networking, including VPNs, routing, and firewalls.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation capabilities.
- Microsoft certifications such as:
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud setups (e.g., Azure AD Connect, Exchange Hybrid).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Purview.
