Remote Healthcare Assistant
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Healthcare Assistant to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in supporting patients and clinical staff remotely by ensuring seamless communication, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about making a difference in patients’ lives—without needing to be physically on-site. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat
- Schedule and confirm virtual appointments
- Assist in managing patient records and updating electronic health systems
- Provide support with prescription refills, referrals, and follow-ups
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and administrative teams
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare support or administrative role is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with computers and basic healthcare software (EMR/EHR systems a plus)
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
