Automation and Test Engineer
The Platform Architecture team is looking for an Automation and Test Engineer that would be responsible for day-to-day execution and maintenance of robotic testing of smartphones and other devices. You would be creating new automated tests, maintaining tests of key applications, and ensuring that new devices can be tested. You will also be responsible for generating reports based on findings and verifying whether the automated behavior effectively mimics how customers would be using their devices. Additionally, you would be asked to help investigate findings, perform behavioral analysis of the behavior of apps and phones. You will have an incredible opportunity to shape the narrative of the strengths and weaknesses of Apple’s product line and help influence the decision-making process for millions of devices that people buy every year.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with programming and scripting language such as Python.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with external teams to drive issues forward.
- Creative thinker and strong problem solver.
- Deeply passionate about the mobile phone space, both iOS and Android.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proven track record for getting things done.
