Cashier/Customer Service
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. You will play a crucial part in creating a positive shopping experience, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations. Responsibilities - Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries and purchases. - Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. - Process sales transactions using the POS system, including returns and exchanges. - Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively sell and upsell items to customers. - Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. - Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks. - Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls and addressing their concerns or questions. - Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment. - Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles. Skills - Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. - Proficient in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions accurately. - Strong understanding of retail math for effective sales analysis and inventory management. - Excellent phone etiquette with strong verbal communication skills. - Ability to sell products effectively while maintaining a customer-focused approach. - Experience with supervising or training team members is a plus. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. - A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
