General Laborer

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team in a dynamic warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring that materials are handled safely and effectively. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. Duties

• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring safe handling practices.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and RF scanners to facilitate the movement of goods.
• Perform materials handling tasks to organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse.
• Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for distribution.
• Conduct regular inspections of heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
• Experience with AS400 systems for inventory management is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
• Willingness to work in varying conditions, including exposure to outdoor elements.
