Job Title: Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Pay: $17.38 an hr | Bi-weekly Job Type: ? Remote Shift Options: ? Attendance is extremely important, especially during the initial 8 weeks of training (8AM - 430PM CST). The new hire must be available to work a regular shift of Monday- Friday 8am - 11 pm CST. All time off needed should be discussed and disclosed during this initial review. ? After training, our hours of operation are regular shift of Monday- Friday 8am - 7pm CST Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Overview: ? The Tech I Prior Auth takes in-bound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc providing professional and courteous phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. ? Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of reviews. ? Transfers all clinical questions, escalations and judgement calls to the pharmacist team. ? The Tech I will also assist with other duties as needed to include but not limited to: outbound calls, reviewing and processing Prior Auth?s received via fax, portal requests, monitoring and responding to inquiries via department mailboxes and other duties as assigned by the leadership team. ? This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. ? Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Qualifications: ? Minimum (1) year experience required in a customer service position with *high volume call center* experience in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position. ? This is an absolute requirement. ? Please ensure call center experience is clearly listed on resumes. ? At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function. ? Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization. ? Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must. ? Required: Verifiable High School diploma or GED. ? Preferred: Associate Degree or Bachelor?s Degree: If neither degree held, then equivalent years of work experience. Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Benefits: ?
