About the position The Retail Associate Trainee position at Valley National Bank involves assisting clients with routine banking transactions while adhering to the bank's quality service standards and operational procedures. Responsibilities
- Perform all transactions required by customers using appropriate technology.

- Process deposits and withdrawals, including loan payments and savings.

- Sell money orders and cashiers' checks.

- Process or balance individual cash boxes and perform necessary office work.

- File signature cards and complete end-of-day proof.

- Maintain and balance a cash box.

- Utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment and Cash Recycling machines.

- Support customers in using Coin Machines.
,
- Meet customer expectations and achieve service quality standards.

- Maintain knowledge and compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and policies.

- Participate in and complete required training and development experiences.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.

- Experience dealing with the public.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
