Weekend Assistant Editor (Part-Time)
The assistant editor at Jacobin works closely with a team of writers and editors from around the world to copyedit and format online articles, participate in commission meetings, and proofread and fact-check the print edition. We're looking for someone motivated, extremely detail-oriented, and committed to democratic socialist politics. Professional editorial experience is preferred. The position will be for 14 to 20 hours a week, with a full day on Fridays. Saturday and Sunday will typically be half days in the morning, with some flexibility. Remote work is permitted, but candidates in the New York metropolitan area are preferred. The job is perfect for intellectually curious and rigorous people.
