For any questions email: [email protected] POSITION SUMMARY: The HVAC Tech will possess a working knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) type work. HVAC Technician works closely with and provides technical guidance to Maintenance Workers I, II and III. Typical duties include but may not be limited to: ? Work with sheet metal, boilers, various HVAC systems, duct work, computerized temperature control systems and more. ? Sheet metal work includes metal fabrication and intricate welding of all types of metals. ? Dismantle, assemble and test heating and cooling units. ? Keep all equipment within compliance of all applicable standards, policies and procedures. This includes general safety procedures and maintaining safe work areas. ? Inspect and test various systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications to detect and locate system issues and malfunctions. ? Assist other tradesmen with building maintenance tasks. ? Assist in inspections of City owned buildings and properties. ? Provide technical guidance to Maintenance workers. ? Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Educational Requirements ? High school graduate or GED required. Experience ? Minimum of (4) four years? experience in the HVAC industry ? Must possess a Refrigerant Recovery License. ? Must possess at least a Journeyman Mechanical. ? Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver?s License. Apply Job!
