About the position The Engineering Librarian at Florida State University serves as the academic liaison to the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and other STEM departments. This role focuses on developing outreach programs, delivering library instructional sessions, and providing research consultations to support the academic community's needs. The position emphasizes collaboration, continuous professional development, and contributions to the library profession. Responsibilities ? Serve as the academic liaison to the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and other STEM departments. , ? Develop and implement outreach programs to engage Engineering students and faculty. , ? Design and deliver library instructional sessions and learning materials. , ? Provide reference services and research consultations to support academic departments. , ? Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on trends in academic librarianship and research. , ? Contribute to the library profession through research, publication, and participation in professional organizations. , ? Participate in library-wide committees to support strategic goals. Requirements ? Graduate degree in a STEM discipline and/or ALA-accredited degree in library/information science. , ? One year or more of professional working experience in a research library or other academic setting. , ? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. , ? Knowledge and understanding of the data and information needs of engineering researchers. Nice-to-haves ? Expertise using resources in engineering, computer science, or data science including databases, journals, and preprints. , ?
