The historic Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a full-time Engineer to join their property operations team! This 500 room property is in Manhattan?s Koreatown, a five minutes' walk from the Empire State Building, Macy's Herald Square, Madison Square Garden, and Penn Station! In this role, you will report to two assistant chief engineers and the director of property operations! The ideal candidate for this position will have well-rounded experience in the areas of HVAC/electrical/plumbing, from either working in a hotel or building of similar size - it would be considered an asset for this position to have electrical or HVAC certificates! As this is a hospitality operation, a great attitude and passion for teamwork is required of the role. Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work AM, PM and Overnight shifts as needed (without restrictions) Pay Rate: $31.13/hour - $41.51/hour [final offer based on experience] The Benefits ? What will I be doing? As an Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: ? Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas ? Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment ? Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry ? Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs ? Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention What are we looking for?
