Job Summary: Fiesta Mart is looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our team at the Store 001 Houston Quitman location. As a Grocery Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring that our store remains clean, well-stocked, and organized while delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their grocery needs and answering questions. • Clean and maintain grocery aisles, shelves, and display cases to ensure a clean and organized store. • Replenish and rotate stock on self-serve displays, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and priced. • Assist in unloading deliveries, organizing products, and stocking shelves as required. • Perform inventory checks and assist in organizing products to maintain efficient store operations. • Ensure proper handling of merchandise and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. • Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and stooping for extended periods of time, ensuring the store’s cleanliness and organization. • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet the store’s needs. • Collaborate with team members and the Grocery Manager to ensure smooth department operations. Qualifications and Experience: • Must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) to assist customers and coworkers. • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and shelf tags. • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers and colleagues. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. • Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. • Previous experience in retail or grocery settings is a plus, but not required. • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to customer service. It Would Be Extra Awesome if You Brought: • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Outlook and other basic software. • Retail Management Certificate or experience in a supervisory role.
