About the position As a Beauty Counter Manager at Nordstrom, you will be an integral part of our beauty team, where your role will encompass both artistry and education. This position is designed for individuals who are results-oriented and thrive in a commissioned sales environment. You will be responsible for building long-lasting relationships with customers who are passionate about the latest cosmetics, beauty, and fragrance trends. Your day will begin with greeting customers in the store, suggesting new styles, and providing them with honest and tactful feedback on beauty products. You will also check in with customers later, inviting them to exclusive events and promotions, ensuring they feel valued and engaged with our brand. In this role, you will set and exceed both company and personal sales goals while supporting the overall objectives of the team. You will be expected to achieve sales goals through effective in-store and digital selling, utilizing various selling tools, including text and social media. Building and maintaining strong vendor relationships will be crucial to maximizing business results, and you will manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions. As a team player, you will contribute to keeping the department ready for its close-up, which includes tasks such as stocking, re-merchandising, display, merchandise transfers, and light cleaning. This position requires a competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed in a commission-based environment, along with the ability to handle customer concerns positively and proactively while prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
