Patient Care Associate II Full Time Night CCU

POSITION SUMMARY: To assist the professional staff by participating in direct and indirect patient care to include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and materials management and maintenance as directed by the professional staff and in accordance with approved policies and procedures. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must meet one of the following requirements: (1) Recent experience in a comparable role in a hospital setting or (2) have a valid current and active certification from a credentialing organization approved by Va EXPERIENCE: No previous experience required. SPECIAL SKILLS: Qualifications may vary depending on assigned area. Must be able to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods, handle frequent interruptions, and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team, staff, and co-workers. Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and respond quickly to emergency requests. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and assist in meeting the patient care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
