Outpatient Psychiatrist- Harris Health- Acres Home Health Center The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking qualified candidates to join our excellent faculty team. This is a great opportunity to join a state-of-the-art Behavioral Sciences Campus with 2 psychiatric hospitals serving 500 beds total, and 29 clinics throughout the local Houston area. Located in the heart of the largest medical center in the nation, we have a vigorous research enterprise and multiple educational programs including a large residency program, child and adolescent fellowship, psychology interns, and more. Our robust collegial atmosphere fosters collaboration and teamwork! The position would assist in providing exceptional teaching and supervisory opportunities to residents and medical students as a key training site for the McGovern Medical School, and soon to our NEW School of Behavioral Health Sciences, opening in the fall of 2025. The Assistant/Associate/Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences will serve as an outpatient attending for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, with assignment to Harris Health- Acres Home Health Center. The selected candidate will provide direct patient care, teaching, and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows and will contribute to the Department's missions of education, research, and patient care. Qualifications: • M.D. or equivalent degree. • Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Texas. • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry. • Experience or interest in research and/or education is preferred.
