Product Specialist

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Product Specialist for its Tampa, FL location. Duties: Responsible for negotiation, execution, implementation, and maintenance of Agency & Trust domestic and cross-border transactions. Transactions include Escrow, Collateral Agency, Project Finance, and bonds for which Agency & Trust acts as Escrow Agent, Account Bank, Collateral Agent, Administrative Agent, Trustee, and Paying and Exchange Agent. Maintain a portfolio of complex loans and other Corporate Trust transactions with a primary focus on deals in Latin America. Assist in ad-hoc projects specific to broader audits, billing, amendments, consents, and waivers. Review and negotiate new deals along with appropriate counsel and administer transactions throughout the life of the deal which may include review, negotiation, and administration of consents, waivers, amendments, and termination of the transaction. Implement and manage local and cross-border transactions by setting up transactions on Citi systems and work with various operations teams to ensure the smooth handling of funds or operational activities in accordance with deal documents. Field and respond to queries from various internal and external deal stakeholders such as Product, Operations, Corporate Bankers, Risk, Compliance, Sales and Legal managers, deal party counsel, investors, and clients. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Legal Studies, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience negotiating domestic and cross-border transactions in the job offered or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Five (5) years of experience must include: Negotiation and administration of domestic and cross border transactions including Escrows, Corporate Debt, Project Finance, M&A, Administrative, or Collateral Agency agreements to ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and applicable administrative and operational processes; Supporting and managing complex deals under NY law and jurisdictions in Latin America including Peru, Colombia, Dominic Republic, Panama, and Brazil; Working with deal structure and borrower and investor transaction plans incorporated in agreements under negotiation to ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies; Ensuring compliance with federal regulations, bank policies and procedures including anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) requirements; Managing and mitigating financial risks associated with agency & trust market general activities to support client decisions; and Implementation of executed transactions during the onboarding and termination process, identifying administrative and operational activities under agreements, and collecting required documentation for processing transactions. 40 hrs./wk.
