Join us, and let’s improve lives together. • *This position can be performed remotely for candidates who reside in New England area, MA, NH, CT, and RI** Essential Functions • Selects, grows and maintains a profitable book of business for assigned territory • Evaluates and analyzes complex accounts for risk selection and pricing purposes • Develops and fosters agency relationships • Collaborates with marketing representatives to ensure agents receive excellent customer experiences • Offers appropriate coverage for exposures and explains decisions to agents • Coordinates with marketing and branch management in the agency planning and review processes Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience • Three years of experience in commercial lines underwriting • Insurance designations, such as CPCU preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Strong knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions • Ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently • Ability to maintain high standards of professional competence • Strong customer service skills • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media • Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines • Ability to effectively communicate products, procedures, business planning and system information necessary to positively influence production within assigned territory • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak in front of others • Strong presentation skills preferred • Occasional travel; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if traveling The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $70,000-$97,000 range or the $77,000-$107,000 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
