Site Reliability Engineer/Cloud Engineer Intern Job Description Ready for a challenging and rewarding internship? The role will work closely with cross-functional team in a collaborative environment to ensure high availability, performance, and automation of systems while gaining hands-on experience in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and site reliability engineering principles. Interns will be onsite at the Birmingham headquarters. Responsibilities · Support the team to ensure system reliability, scalability, and uptime. · Assist to incident response and root cause analysis to improve system resilience. · Help monitor and maintain cloud resources to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency. · Actively participate brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions and provide suggestions. · Participate in automation and continuous process improvement cycles. · Work alongside senior team members on assigned task. Qualifications: · Working on a BS degree in a computer related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering) · Familiarly with SRE principles · Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies (Google Cloud preferred) · Familiarity with web technology, DevOps monitoring tools · Familiarity of DevOps practices (e.g. CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration) · Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance. · Individual must be a self-starter and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. · Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment. · Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and operation support skills.
