Freelance Writer, Paid Social & Paid Search

Job Summary: The Freelance Writer, Paid Social & Paid Search is an experienced freelance writer with a strong background in creating high-performing content for paid social and paid search preferably in the luxury fashion industry. Reporting to the Director, Content & Copy on the marketing team, this role will be responsible for writing ad copy that drives results and aligns with brand messaging in a variety of digital marketing campaigns. Responsibilities:

• Write clear, concise, and compelling copy for seasonal, weekly and ad hoc paid social campaigns across all stages of the customer journey – awareness, consideration and conversion – with an emphasis on new customer acquisition.
• Focus on writing copy that drives engagement, leads and conversion while reflecting brand voice and language of luxury.
• Write copy for seasonal and ad hoc paid search campaigns optimized for SEO while upholding brand voice
• Work closely with the digital content and paid marketing teams to understand campaign objectives and develop copy that aligns with strategies.
• Support testing initiatives by writing multiple versions of copy to determine the most effective messaging.
• Ensure that the copy aligns with Lafayette 148 brand identity and voice.

Desired Background:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field
• Proven experience as a freelance writer for paid social and paid search
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful ad copywriting for paid social and paid search

Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience writing for the luxury industry required, fashion industry preferred but not required

Skills:

• Ability to write persuasive and engaging copy within tight character limits for awareness, consideration, conversion
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
• Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, especially paid media campaigns and conversion optimization.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and keyword optimization.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Freelance Contract Details:

• Remote position, with availability to attend monthly meetings in Brooklyn HQ preferred
• Workload will vary; heavy lift in preparation for the seasonal launch followed by weekly and/or monthly updates throughout the three-month seasonal rotations
• Timeframe: indefinite

Pay Range: The base pay for this position ranges from $60.00 - $100.00 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and location. This is a project-based contract, so the number of hours may fluctuate depending on the scope and duration of each project Apply Job!
