What’s The Job All About? The Intern – Safety Risk Management, will be based in Atlanta Georgia. This position will support the Manager – Corporate Ground Safety Initiatives and will gain hands-on experience managing program elements associated with Barrier Risk Management. This position will be directly responsible for data entry and analysis of risk data. This position is heavily focused on managing a wide range of operational risk and the successful candidate will be exposed to processes that allow a global carrier to effectively determine the risk across a broad spectrum of operational activities. This position may require some travel. The successful candidate will practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) The Candidate Must: • Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program (preferably Aviation Safety or Aviation Operations) • Have a strong command of all Microsoft Suite products and internet applications. • Be able to effectively communicate information (verbal and written) and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams • Possess Delta’s core values of Integrity, Resilience, Care and Servant leadership • Always convey a professional image • Be of the highest caliber due to access to sensitive risk data • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. • Working as an intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation.
