Remote Utilization Review - Pediatric Physician

Flexible Independent Contractor (1099) Opportunity for TEXAS licensed Pediatrician Who We Are Founded in 1983, the Medical Review Institute of America (MRIoA) is the market leader for technology-enabled utilization management and clinical medical review solutions. We have an outstanding reputation for excellence and achieve continual improvement. Spend only 1-2 hours a week and provide your expertise in Pediatrics by conducting Utilization Reviews in the Utilization Management/Peer Review process. A current TEXAS Medical License is required. Medical Review Institute of America, LLC (MRIoA) is a national Independent Review Organization (IRO), who facilitates the review of medical claims to determine treatment appropriateness; known as Peer Review or Utilization Review. IS REVIEW WORK FOR ME? • Are you interested in staying informed of changes and knowing what treatments are being utilized by other Peditricians? • Are you interested in learning more about how to get your own patient’s treatment approved? • Most MRIoA reviewers average 1-2 hours per week, however, there are no minimum expectations. • Cases typically take 30-60 minutes to complete. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: • You will be covered under MRIoA’s Errors and Omissions policy (traditional Malpractice Insurance is not applicable for review work) • Work anywhere within the USA (Per HIPAA Regulations patient records cannot leave the US). • Non-employed Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity. Requirements: Requirements • Must be an MD or DO, Board Certified in Pediatrics • Must have 5 years of patient care experience in Pediatrics • Must have solid computer navigation skill • Must have an unrestricted TEXAS state medical licensure • Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card (we are unable to sponsor a VISA) For more information, please view our website: Reviewer Panel Ability to sit at a desk, utilize a computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment is required.
