Remote Teaching Assistant - Online | WFH

Job Overview We are looking for committed individuals to join our team as Online Teaching Assistants (TAs) for our Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) courses. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in supporting students enrolled in the “Certified Professional Biller Training” course, empowering them to achieve their educational and professional aspirations through tailored mentorship and essential resources. Key Responsibilities • Provide one-on-one mentorship to students, aiding them in navigating course materials, assignments, and activities. • Monitor student engagement and progress to ensure alignment with course objectives, delivering timely feedback through assessments and practical evaluations. • Actively engage in live virtual classroom sessions, offering support to instructors and fostering an interactive learning environment. • Employ diverse teaching methodologies to enhance learning experiences, ensuring content is relevant and applicable to real-world scenarios. • Be accessible for student consultations, scheduling office hours or appointments via virtual platforms, phone, or email. • Participate in orientation sessions to become acquainted with policies, procedures, and relevant tools, including the learning management system and virtual classroom platforms. • Maintain prompt communication, responding to student inquiries within a 48-hour timeframe to facilitate their success. Required Skills • Current and valid certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional Biller (CPB). • Preferably, prior experience in teaching, especially within corporate training environments focusing on adult learners. • Familiarity with online teaching or virtual learning platforms is advantageous. • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in production coding or auditing within the healthcare industry. • Strong knowledge in medical coding, billing, and healthcare compliance. • Excellent capability to engage and instruct adult learners effectively. • A dedication to providing high-quality mentorship and educational guidance. • Proficiency in utilizing technology and online platforms for instructional purposes. • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong organizational abilities, with a commitment to timely responses to student inquiries. • Ability to foster positive relationships with students and fellow educators. • Experience in online or hybrid teaching formats is a plus. Qualifications • Relevant certifications in medical coding and billing are required.
