Position: Title IV-E Medicaid Eligibility Specialist - Salt Lake Valley Region, DCFS (Hybrid Eligible) Move forward in your career by applying to become a Title IV-E Medicaid Eligibility Specialist for the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS), making initial and continuing Title IV-E and Medicaid eligibility determinations for Foster Care children in accordance with Federal, State, DHHS and DCFS policy and regulations. Starting Pay: $18.55 Responsibilities and Duties Title IV-E Medicaid Eligibility Specialists perform the following tasks: • Collecting and reviewing client information to determine client's/applicant's eligibility and options. • Preparing and/or processing documents; reviewing for accuracy and completeness; updating information and/or evaluating against policy; comparing elements for consistency or logical relationships, etc. • Referring clients to other available services to meet needs where appropriate. • Consulting with Division staff regarding eligibility requirements when necessary. • Maintaining and/or creating files or record keeping systems; sorting, labeling, filing, and retrieving documents, and/or other materials. • Entering data into relevant databases such as EREP, MMIS and SAFE. Qualifications • Excellent computer skills, technologically savvy. • Skilled at data entry. • Attention to detail. • Organization skills. • Ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of a potential action. • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills. • Strong commitment to customer service. Preference Preference may be given to candidates who have: • Professional work experience or knowledge of Title IV-E and Medicaid. • Two or more years' experience working in government or public programs. Hybrid Eligible Telework is eligible up to 3 days per week with 2 days required in office. The employee may also be required to attend DCFS/DHHS events. The State of Utah requires all employees to physically work inside the State of Utah boundaries.
