Inside Property Adjuster - DC Metro Area (Remote)

As a Moderate Inside Property Adjuster, you will be dedicated to providing exceptional service to our policyholders. Your primary responsibility will involve virtually inspecting damages, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and accurately. You will be interacting with customers, contractors, and vendors through various software platforms such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. This communication will take place through different channels, including voice calls, email, and text messages. This role places a particular focus on water losses, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims. In this position, you will wear several hats that will require a level of experience. As the Customer Service Expert, you will embody Allstate's Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring, achieving this through compassion, clarity, and commitment in each Property claim. As the Investigator, you will confidently and independently investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage. As the Effective Communicator, you will use phone, emails, and sometimes even video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. You will also incorporate a specific approach to claim handling to offer the customer their preferred communication method to efficiently discuss their claim needs and keep them updated on the claim progress. As the Negotiator, you will evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants, in accordance with all legal and business standard methodologies. You will incorporate tactics in handling challenging and complex situations. As the Problem Solver, you will utilize multiple tools to get the job done in a fast-paced environment, including estimate tools, job aids, and additional settlement platforms, all while using your sharp critical thinking skills. Finally, as the Recorder, you will protect the company financially by executing policies along policy agreements, ensuring timely and accurate documentation is completed as you work on each claim. Responsibilities • Virtually inspect damages and investigate coverage for property claims. , • Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and accurately. , • Interact with customers, contractors, and vendors through various software platforms. , • Focus on water losses to provide high-level support and resolution for claims. , • Conduct detailed reviews of damage and interpret policies to determine coverage. , • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and video chat. , • Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with various stakeholders. , • Utilize multiple tools and platforms to manage claims in a fast-paced environment. , • Maintain clear records of work in a claims system and ensure timely documentation. Requirements • 1+ years of previous customer service experience required. , • Previous industry experience is highly desired. , • Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments is preferred. , • Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage. , • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders remotely. , • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment. , • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient claim resolutions.
