Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Sr. QAE)

About the position The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Sr. QAE) plays a crucial role in the product development life cycle, focusing on delivering high-quality software products within a fast-paced Agile environment. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers, QA engineers, and Product Managers, to enhance the Advent Portfolio Exchange solution. Responsibilities • Define new feature test strategy and demonstrate deep domain expertise. , • Design, develop, and support new and existing automation frameworks. , • Maintain and troubleshoot test environments. , • Monitor and enhance CI/CD pipeline processes. , • Understand the solution to be tested and the underlying accounting/business/domain, and how end users interact with the solution. , • Advocate and champion a quality mindset across teams and solutions, promoting built-in quality, testable code, automation-first, and shift-left testing. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or other relevant majors or equivalent experience. , • 5+ years of experience in testing and delivering high-quality applications for enterprise software environments. , • Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum practices. , • Knowledge of the complete QA release cycle and executing different types of testing. , • Portfolio accounting and/or investment industry experience. , • Understanding of financial instruments and their application in today's marketplace. , • Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented test automation frameworks. , • Experience with databases is a must. , • Automated testing or relative development experience, including setting up automation frameworks and creating automation scripts. , • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes and scripting deployment with shell commands. , • Experience writing automation scripts in JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript. , • Experience with API testing platforms such as Postman or Pytest. , • Experience with UI testing platforms such as Pytest or Playwright. , • Experience with performance testing platforms such as Locust.io or JMeter.
