Summary

Granica delivers world-class, novel ML and AI products to its customers. We have multiple openings for Machine Learning Engineers on our data privacy enhancement team, "Screen". Screen is led by Mack Yi, who leverages deep experience in engineering, data privacy, and ML best practices from his time at Airbnb, Meta, and Google. Screen combines byte-precise algorithms for best-in-class detection and classification accuracy of PII and other sensitive data in real-time, as well as advanced de-identification capabilities - for end users of Screen, this unlocks valuable, proprietary data sets for their safe use in model training, accelerating model development time for quicker time to market and results in more performant models. End users of Screen also benefit from an improved data security posture to more easily enable compliance with data protection regulations. What You’ll Do Invent: • Utilize traditional, deep learning, and generative AI capabilities to solve critical customer problems • Design, develop, and deploy data privacy enhancement solutions across various industries, such as retail & ecommerce, financial services, autonomous vehicles, cloud-native B2B, and more Own: • Own ML projects end-to-end, including problem definition, evaluation of competing approaches and techniques, and product integration • Build and manage the design, architecture, and development of large-scale systems designed for applied ML tasks, and associated data engineering workflows Learn: • Be an engaged team player in a customer-obsessed, cross-functional environment where you will feel excited and empowered to take on what is most impactful for the company and end users of Screen What You Bring To Us: • Bachelor’s degree or International Equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Information Science or related field; advanced degrees a plus • 4+ years experience in delivering complex AI/ML solutions and services in a production setting for cloud-native applications • High-caliber coding and development experience in C++, Go, and Python • Experience building and maintaining large scale, distributed and high performing data pipelines • Excellent communication skills to pair up with various internal stakeholders, including engineering and product leadership, as well as external customer-facing engineering teams (when needed) • Expertise in modern machine learning frameworks and technologies (eg. PyTorch, Transformers, Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas) • Practical experience with data classification methods and tools, including rule-based, deep learning, NLP, and hybrid methods • Experience building and maintaining large scale, distributed and high performing data pipelines • Ability to work three days per week in our Mountain View HQ Pay And Benefits The base salary for this role is between $120,000 to $220,000. For sales positions at Granica, the salary range mentioned encompasses the On Target Earnings ("OTE") range specific to each role. This means that the range covers both the target for sales commissions or bonuses, as well as the annual base salary for the role. It is important to note that this salary range applies to various career levels within Granica and will be further refined during the interview phase, taking into account factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base salary, this role will receive a highly competitive equity compensation package.
