We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Audio & Speech Algorithm Software Engineer to join our team. As a member of the Audio Algorithms group, you will collaborate with a diverse set of engineers and researchers to advance spatial audio technology, working on real-time audio processing, object-based media, and rendering content for AR/VR applications. You will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions that will impact millions of Apple customers worldwide. Key Qualifications: Proven experience in spatial audio algorithm development (e.g., patents, publications). In-depth knowledge of spatial audio rendering techniques (HRTFs, room simulation, VBAP, Ambisonics, etc.). Strong background in developing real-time audio processing software. Experience with machine learning for audio applications. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, MATLAB, and Python. Solid understanding of physical acoustics and spatial hearing principles. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience working with cross-functional teams in product development. Responsibilities: Develop and enhance spatial audio rendering technologies for Apple products. Work closely with teams in acoustics, audio software, and product development to integrate spatial audio features into Apple's ecosystem. Research and implement cutting-edge signal processing and machine learning technologies for AR/VR applications. Contribute to the evolution of immersive audio experiences on products such as iPhones, Macs, AirPods, and Vision Pro. Collaborate with various teams within Apple to push the boundaries of spatial audio technologies and deliver innovative products. Education & Experience: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Additional Requirements: Familiarity with standard software engineering practices such as version control, testing, and debugging.
