Five years or more of similar or related experience required. To approve or deny Consumer Mortgage loans. Underwrites loans in accordance with investor or agency guidelines. Reviews and evaluates borrower(s) profile including but not limited to all income documentation, tax returns, credit reports, preliminary report, judgments, bankruptcy documents and appraisal. Identifies additional conditions as needed to insure a viable credit decision. Exercises good judgment conducts reasonableness tests and issues quality decisions. Determines accuracy and completeness of files; ensures processes are consistent. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Approves or denies secondary market and government loan application or requests additional information for completion of underwriting process, closing and funding. Evaluate acceptability of loan on secondary mortgage markets and government loans. Understands automated underwriting systems (DU, LP)*Reviews and evaluates information on consume mortgage loan documents if buyer, property, and loan conditions meet bank and government standards. Maintain working knowledge of all available programs and revisions. Understanding of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, VA, RHS, FHA, KHC guidelines. *Work with Lenders, lenders assistants and correspondent relations including technical support of internal origination software. Support other Loan Department staff when needed. *Backup for Quarterly and Year End Reports.*Review Quality Control loans for exceptions and clear.*Performs other duties with the department as assigned. Education Requirements (Any) Five years to more years of similar or related experience. High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higer preferred.
