Summary: Onix is seeking talented Test Engineers, passionate about building large-scale data processing systems. This role is specifically in the “Healthcare" and "Insurance Business" domains." The Test Engineers at Onix are encouraged to share their point-of-views on better implementation based on their experience. You will be working on cloud-centric data projects in the Data Warehousing and Data Analytics domains. You will provide expertise in creating test plans, building and executing test cases through SQL / UNIX scripts, applying testing standards/guidelines and testing methodology to meet the project's objectives. You will also consolidate testing results, identify and flag defects or issues and triage and track defects to closure. Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid) Primary Responsibilities • Understand project's functional and nonfunctional requirements while possessing hands-on experience with QA ETL Testing, Test Planning, Test Case Development, etc. • Test data-driven solutions by defining test cases and test strategy while also providing support for application codes and solutions • Create test scripts, execute corresponding test cases and identify defects status through reporting • Execute ETL/ELT jobs or scripts using enterprise schedulers and/or cloud schedulers across various environments for testing the functionality • Writing SQL queries and UNIX scripts • Log defects and triage the defects to ensure logical closure of said defects • Work extensively within the cloud ecosystem (i.e. data platforms like GCP BigQuery) • Strong testing experience in data warehousing Preferred Skills & Experience • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field and 5+ years of experience with a proven experience in ETL testing • Hands-on experience in SQL with advanced level skills • Experience in scripting language (shell/python) • Knowledge and understanding in Data Warehouse and data modeling • Experience in healthcare insurance domain would be nice to have • Experience using Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence tools such as DataStage / Informatica, GCP BigQuery, Tableau, SSRS, etc. • Willingness to continuously learn & share learnings with others and capability to collaborate with stakeholders and project leaders to understand requirements, deliverables • Experience working in an agile and collaborative team environment • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and professional speaking skills • Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a commitment to excellence and high standards Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field and 5+ years of experience with a proven experience in ETL testing Travel Expectation: Up to 10% It is the policy of Onix to ensure equal employment opportunity in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code 125.111 and all applicable federal regulations and guidelines.
