Lead Content Designer - Consumer Digital Channels

About the position This is an XD Lead Content Designer role for Consumer Digital Channels at Wells Fargo. The Wells Fargo Experience Design (XD) team is seeking a Lead Content Designer to work on the Alerts & Messaging design team. The ideal candidate will bring joy to outbound communications such as email, text, and push notifications. The role focuses on engaging customers with products, services, and features through in-app opportunities, aiming to make customers feel valued, confident, and empowered. The Lead Content Designer will be responsible for crafting compelling copy that enhances the banking experience for customers. In this position, the Lead Content Designer will lead the creation of best-in-class digital customer experiences for the Wells Fargo app and website. This requires a deep understanding of content design principles to develop and execute strategies that address complex user and business challenges. The designer will craft holistic flows and end-to-end experiences grounded in user-centered design principles. Additionally, the role involves leading complex initiatives for web and app content design, identifying modeling and risk management, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws regarding accessibility for all users. The Lead Content Designer will also review and analyze complex business and operational objectives, ensuring that all work aligns with risk management, compliance, and business process expectations. The position requires making decisions in complex situations that require a strong understanding of Content Design policies and procedures. Collaboration with peers, colleagues, and leadership is essential to resolve issues and achieve goals effectively. Requirements • 5+ years of Graphic or Website Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. Nice-to-haves • Ability to write compelling copy for a complicated and highly personal space - financial institution experience is not required. , • Understanding of how to leverage research data to build solutions that balance user needs with business goals. , • Skilled in storytelling: sell ideas, create coalition, and build support through excellent presentation skills. , • An arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style. , • Offers content design perspective throughout the product development process, influencing strategic decisions to improve overall experience and ensure consistency.
