Climate Risk Reporting Transformation Analyst

About the position At Regions, the Climate Risk Reporting Transformation Analyst will play a crucial role in the Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) team, focusing on topical research that leverages both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess portfolio performance trends, market analytics, and outlooks. This position is designed for individuals who are results-oriented and dedicated to quality, strength, and integrity. The analyst will collaborate across various teams within the bank, including Line of Business, Risk, Treasury, Finance, and Technology, to leverage expertise and complete complex projects effectively. The primary responsibilities include initiating research to drive origination strategy and risk mitigation, conducting routine and ad hoc research as directed by the CPM Research Manager, and summarizing findings from external research. The analyst will proactively query Regions' data repositories to respond to inquiries from business leaders and support research efforts. Additionally, the role involves sourcing, scrubbing, and maintaining internal and external data required for research and analysis purposes, as well as collaborating with Risk Reporting to design dashboards that enhance risk awareness throughout the firm. The analyst will also build tools for credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and risk assessment, provide support for special projects, and offer training and managerial support to Analyst I and II team members. This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. The work schedule is hybrid, combining in-office and remote work, allowing for flexibility in the work environment. Responsibilities • Collaborate across teams throughout the bank to leverage expertise and complete complex projects. , • Initiate research to drive origination strategy and/or risk mitigation. , • Conduct routine and ad hoc research at the direction of the CPM Research Manager, including performance trends analysis and market trend outlook. , • Summarize findings from external research. , • Proactively query Regions' data repositories in response to inbound questions from business leaders. , • Source, scrub, and maintain internal and external data required for research and analysis purposes. , • Collaborate with Risk Reporting to design dashboards to improve risk awareness throughout the firm. , • Build tools for credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and risk assessment. , • Provide support to area of expertise on special projects. , • Provide training, managerial support, and/or coaching to Analyst I and II team members. , • Partner with the Climate Risk Reporting Transformation Manager to evolve bank-wide reporting on Financed Emissions. , • Support environmental and social risk management priorities and reporting needs based on regulatory and industry best practices. , • Develop and manage a central repository for aggregating source data for Financed Emissions measurement. , • Liaise with Asset Class SMEs on reporting and methodology maintenance and enhancements. , • Incorporate data lifecycle automation techniques where possible. , • Implement and manage repository governance, including methodology and change management log. , • Partner with source data owners to source, report, and QA necessary data. Requirements • Bachelor's degree , • Five (5) years of credit/market research, advanced analytics or credit risk management experience.
