Human Resources/ Payroll Associate (Part-Time)

The HR/Payroll Associate serves in a customer-facing role and is responsible for providing departmental human resource-related confidential office support, as well as payroll related personnel actions, for the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Athletic Department. The HR/Payroll Associate will complete these actions in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines. This position provides departmental HR support and will work closely with all employees within the Nebraska Athletic Department, providing a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions. This position functions under general supervision and is expected to utilize sophisticated technology to provide professional services. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. This is a flexible part-time position and offers pro-rated holiday pay, vacation and sick leave. The hours will be set with the selected candidate between the hours of 8a-5p Monday – Friday. Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma plus 2 years office and/or payroll and/or human resources experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Knowledgeable and comfortable with Microsoft applications. Willingness to learn new hardware and software systems. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

Human resources or payroll experience preferred. Posted Salary $19.00/hr minimum
