Sign Language Interpreter VRS at Home Overnight Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, the Interpreter will provide high quality professional American Sign Language interpreting through video and/or on-site at various customer locations when needed. Interpreters must possess fluent American Sign Language and spoken English and Spanish language skills, accurate interpreting skills, and thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. Where driving is required for onsite work, access to a vehicle, valid driver's license and required insurance is necessary Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualification Requirements: One (1) year of professional interpreting experience One (1) year Video Relay Service interpreting experience in a call center environment, preferred Must have a valid and current NAD IV/V, BEI - Advanced or Master or RID certification Possess fluent ASL and spoken English language skills Able to provide accurate interpretation Possess a good understanding of Deaf culture Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct You must be 18 years or older to apply Possess, as applicable, state licensure or credential requirements for state licensures Disclaimer: The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
