BILINGUAL Call Center Service Representative (Remote)

About the position As a Bilingual Call Center Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in assisting Maryland residents in understanding and obtaining health insurance coverage. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from Florida while serving clients in Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help others and will be responsible for answering inbound calls, providing information about health care insurance options, and guiding customers through the process of selecting the right coverage for themselves and their families. The role requires a commitment to a comprehensive training program that lasts three weeks, followed by a four-week nesting period where you will take supervised calls. During the training phase, you will need to provide your own compatible equipment, including a computer running Windows 10 or MAC OS 10.14 (Mojave) or higher, a webcam, and a headset. After completing the training and nesting, the company will provide the necessary equipment for your role. You will be expected to maintain accurate customer and account information, update case records, and utilize multiple database applications to assist customers effectively. The position demands strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to engage with consumers and coworkers positively. You will also need to be flexible and reliable, with the capacity to work occasional overtime as required. Responsibilities • Answer inbound phone calls to provide information and assistance regarding health care insurance options. , • Update customer and account information as needed. , • Update case records and notate purpose of call. , • Utilize multiple database applications as resources. , • Be open to feedback for continuous improvement and growth. , • Respond to general customer inquiries. , • Strive to meet performance metrics for continued professional growth opportunities. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; college attendance/degree is preferred. , • Strong verbal and written communication skills. , • Minimum 1 year of Call Center experience. , • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience. , • Computer proficiency. , • Ability to learn and understand health insurance policy and terminology to provide the best solution to customers seeking assistance. , • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and interact well with consumers and coworkers. , • Ability to problem solve, prioritize and multi-task while utilizing multiple computer applications during calls. , • Must be flexible, reliable, and available for occasional overtime as needed. , • Must be able to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests. , • Able to commit to 3 weeks of class training without missing any time from work. , • Able to commit to 4 weeks of supervised call taking (nesting) without missing any time from work. Nice-to-haves • Experience in customer service for at least 1 year is preferred. , • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
