Material Handling Specialist Job Summary: As a Materials Handling Specialist at DHL, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling of materials within the warehouse environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that materials are properly received, stored, and prepared for shipment according to company standards and procedures. Handling Specialist Key Responsibilities: • Receive incoming materials and verify against packing slips or purchase orders. • Safely transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks. • Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and placement of materials in designated storage areas. • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counting and stock checks. • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Skills and Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations preferred. • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., forklift certification is a plus). • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and completing tasks. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
