Duties & Responsibilities: • Select vending and cold drink equipment that can effectively serve the sales requests. • It's crucial to utilize protective wrapping and attach the proper documentation (STO) to guarantee the safety and security of all outbound loads. • Follow CCCI's SOPs when aiding in the loading and unloading of trailers to assist with delivery operations. Use handhelds to update SAP and CONA, keeping track of inbound and outbound loads to ensure accuracy and accountability for the territories served by the Regional Operation Center. • Emphasize safety and cleanliness by completing all necessary pre- and post-trip evaluations, double-checking daily documentation for accuracy, and ensuring a tidy and obstacle-free work area. • Participate in various duties as directed, such as staging equipment and managing yard work, such as removing clutter and maintaining a neat appearance. • Use a switching system to move pup and 53' trailers to the docking location as needed. There are certain traits that individuals must possess in order to be successful in their professional role. These traits are often referred to as knowledge, skills, and abilities, or KSAs • Proficient understanding of essential safety principles, including proper lifting methods and the adoption of personal safety clothing. • Possess expert-level forklift skills required to operate single-wide forklifts with finesse and accuracy. • Basic pallet-jack skills. • Elementary competence in mechanics and uncomplicated employment of tools. • Knowledgeable in handling different rudimentary machines. • Following written guidelines or instructions is essential for best practices. • Generate reports through handwritten or computer-based formats to track progress. • Follow verbal instructions. • Intermediate math skills. • A holistic understanding of the aspects that bolster productivity. • The ability to analyze the process of order building, optimize the loading workflow, and select the most efficient pick and load path. • Managing various processes at the same time is a fundamental part of maintaining an optimized system. • The skill of consistently counting incoming products and verifying them against the manifest is critical. • Consistently achieving accurate loading of trucks while following documentation requirements. • Exhibits superior interpersonal communication skills. • The job necessitates the ability to perform in extreme temperatures, noisy surroundings, slippery floors, and hazardous shards of glass. • Every once in a while, the requirement may arise to lift weights that exceed 25 pounds, although the frequency of such cases is low. • The capacity to remain seated for extended periods. • Regular movements on and off a forklift. • The opening and closing of truck dock doors play an essential role in the unloading and loading process. Minimum Qualifications: • Certification for forklift and pallet jack operation includes both theoretical and practical training to ensure safety and efficiency. • Switcher operation certification. • Obtaining a Class A commercial driver's license is mandatory in some cases. Preferred Qualifications: • Past familiarity with logistics handling. • It is critical to adhere to federal and state weight limitations to avoid fines and citations. Failing to comply with regulations can also lead to accidents and damage to the truck, trailer, and cargo. Work Environment: • An environment that is both loud and lacks temperature regulation, varying between both high and low degrees.
