Remote Early Childhood Teaching / Instructional Support Assistant - SY 24-25
Job Overview Join our dynamic and innovative charter school as an Instructional Support Assistant, where you will play a critical role in nurturing students' academic, social, and emotional growth. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about creating inclusive and engaging learning environments. Key Responsibilities ? Collaborate with lead teachers to establish an effective learning atmosphere. ? Implement lesson plans and reinforce educational content through individual and small group activities. ? Conduct small group and individual instruction utilizing evidence-based interventions. ? Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records of interventions. ? Assist students in following school routines and developing positive scholarly behaviors. ? Partner with special educators to deliver personalized supports and accommodations. ? Participate in team meetings and engage with parents as necessary. ? Aid in maintaining classroom documentation and assist with universal screenings. ? Supervise student groups and ensure safety and productivity during lunch, recess, and other activities. ? Embrace feedback for continuous improvement in teaching practices. Required Skills ? Strong verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset. ? Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. ? Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. ? Familiarity with online teaching tools and technology (preferred). Qualifications ? Minimum of 2 years of college education. ? Experience working with children is essential. ? Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, ESL, or Special Education is preferred. ? Bilingual skills in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole are advantageous.
